At ReconnectIT, we believe that digital access is a human right. Every year, millions of electronic devices are discarded while vulnerable individuals are left digitally excluded. We aim to change that.
Reconnect gathers e-waste (usable but obsolete laptops, tablets etc) and gives them a second life by distributing them to people in need: domestic violence survivors, formerly incarcerated individuals, victims of crime, psychiatric patients, and people with disabilities or experiencing homelessness.
We are unpaid volunteers working with donated equipment. Together, we bridge the digital divide and reconnect lives.
We are based in Bundoora, Victoria, Australia and have lived experience of disability and DV. We are investigating shipping and delivery, but for now, you will have to come to us.
